Benedict Cumberbatch surprises fans waiting in line at Comic-Con
The line for Hall H at Comic-Con is notoriously long, with fans camping out all night for the chance to see the most highly anticipated panels. To make their plight just a tad bit easier, Doctor Strange and Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch surprised those outside the convention space with a special photo op.
As seen in video and photos from the moment, the actor weaved through the line on Friday night snapping selfies along the way.
Saturday is typically packed with panels and previews with Warner Bros.’s line-up — featuring Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman — kicking off in the morning at 11:30 a.m. PST. Marvel Studios bows later at 5:30 p.m. PST. Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson previously teased an appearance, but now we know Cumberbatch is also on the ground in San Diego.
See the actor meet the fans below.
Doctor Strange is scheduled for theaters on Nov. 4.
