It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Comic-Con is back!

San Diego’s Comic-Con International is just around the corner, and with it come exclusives, screenings, and surprises from Hollywood’s biggest studios. At this year’s festivities, fans will be treated to panels for upcoming films like Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and Maximum Ride, along with exciting events from the DC, Marvel, Star Wars, and Star Trek franchises.

Sci-fi and fantasy icons Kevin Smith and Joss Whedon are also set for their own panels, joining a docket full of everything a superfan could want, from The Dark Crystal to Scooby-Doo. Check back with EW for latest coverage from Comic-Con and Con X.
