EW can exclusively reveal that director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett’s new horror film The Woods — haunting theaters from Sept. 16 — will screen publicly for the first time at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego. The screening will take place at 7p.m. PT on Friday, July 22.

Wingard and Barrett’s previous collaborations include 2011’s terrific home invasion horror-comedyYou’re Next, the segment “Tape 56” of 2012’s V/H/S, and 2014’s similarly entertaining, Dan Stevens-starring The Guest. Wingard will direct Death Note, which is in development at Netflix.
