Longtime comics fan Olivia Munn may have been excited to finally suit up for X-Men: Apocalypse, but she said she wasn’t as much of a fan of how much effort it took to squeeze into Psylocke’s latex costume.

Munn and her X-Men costars appeared on Conan to talk about the upcoming film, and she explained that fitting into Psylocke’s skintight outfit required the help of two women to lubricate both her and the costume.

“They lube me down, and I step into this latex fitting,” Munn said, adding that on her very first day on set in the costume, she “popped the crotch,” breaking the latex.

Costume difficulties aside, Munn told EW about how, as an X-Men fan, she was excited to finally don a superhero suit of her own.

“It’s one of the coolest things,” she said at the Entertainment Weekly Lounge at Comic-Con. “It really doesn’t feel real. It’s a very cliché thing to say, but it’s just a really surreal thing when you’re on set. … I try not to mess up anything or touch anything, don’t break anything because they’re going to ask you to leave. It’s this feeling of very surreal and temporary in a way, if that makes sense. Like a dream.”
