At this point, the Winchester brothers are experts at saving people and hunting things, but their lives are a bit more complicated than they were in season 1. So before we get our first taste of Supernatural season 11 at Sunday’s Comic-Con panel, here’s a refresher on the types of trouble the brothers got themselves into last year.
Where we left off: The Mark of Cain was removed from Dean’s arm, but without a new inhabitant to take it over, the so called lock was opened, and The Darkness — which Death claimed was the worst evil the world had ever seen — quite literally enveloped Sam and Dean. Oh, and then there’s the fact that Dean killed Death.
Elsewhere, Rowena became the powerful witch we’d always wanted her to be. The bad news? The first thing she did with her power was cast a spell to make Castiel kill Crowley. Last we saw, Cas was headed Crowley’s way … and fast.
What we know about season 11: Here’s where things get interesting: We really don’t know much. We know that The Darkness is going to need to be priority No. 1, and we know that Dean is theoretically back to being his old self. But aside from that, there are no guarantees heading into the new season, other than the three Bs of Dean: Baby, bacon cheeseburgers, and beer.
Comic-Con burning question: What exactly is The Darkness, and will its arrival mean we finally get to see God in action?
