The Walking Dead returns Oct. 11 with a supersized, 90-minute episode.

Judging by the action-packed trailer, it appears as if season 6 will be the series’ bloodiest yet — and that’s saying something.

The four-minute trailer also offers a peek at Ethan Embry’s character, though no details are currently being offered by the network on his role. Nurse Jackie‘s Merritt Wever will also be joining the cast in season 6, along with Corey Hawkins.

AMC announced the news at Comic-Con in San Diego on Friday, adding that Talking Dead, hosted by Chris Hardwick, will also continue to air following TWD this fall.

The network also announced a premiere date — Aug. 23 — for Fear the Walking Dead, the spin-off set in Los Angeles which takes place at the onset of the outbreak. Watch the trailer here.
