'Rise of the Tomb Raider' exclusive images
After the great success of 2013’s Tomb Raider reboot, Lara Croft’s adventures were all but guaranteed to continue. Sure enough, this fall’s follow-up, Rise of the Tomb Raider, furthers the franchise with a journey bigger, more dangerous, and filled with many more tombs.
Art director Brenoch Adams promises that the heroine will visit “some of the most beautifully hostile environments on Earth” in the game, which also seeks to up the actual raiding ante. “We are building awe-inspiring tombs littered with deadly traps, puzzles and ancient texts,” Adams says.
In addition the game’s impressive showing at E3 last month, more is set to be unveiled about the game during San Diego’s Comic-Con International. Adams gave EW a sense of what to expect, along with some exclusive looks at artwork from the game.
“In this piece we see Lara outfitted with her signature bow, approaching an enemy base. She’ll need to rely on her intellect and quick wits, while using her surroundings to her advantage to defeat her enemies.”

Even more is set to be revealed at the Rise of the Tomb Raider panel at Comic-Con on July 11 at 5 p.m. PT. Lara Croft herself Camila Luddington and lead writer Rhianna Pratchett will be in attendance. Players will be able to test Lara’s might against those lethal traps when Rise of the Tomb Raider hits the Xbox One on Nov. 10.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
