Adaptations have always had to tread the thin line between faithfulness and keeping things fresh — and the show Under the Dome is no different.

Adapted from Stephen King’s popular novel, the CBS show has had to somehow deviate from the original source work, in which the action only lasts a total of six days, in order to produce some longevity for the series.

Entertainment Weekly’s Anthony Breznican had the pleasure of sitting down with Dean Norris, Mike Vogel, and Rachelle Lefevre to discuss their summer hit. Check out their thoughts on the adaptation and the role of bad guys below:
