'Glee' turnaround: Show's going to Comic-Con!
Glee won’t break from tradition after all. The Fox show decided to send a contingent of actors, including stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, to Comic-Con next month for the fourth consecutive year.
Michele and Monteith will be joined by Darren Criss, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz and Naya Rivera, along with Glee co-creator/executive producer Brad Falchuk, on the panel that will take place on Saturday, July 14. Ryan Murphy, the show’s other creator, will not attend.
“This was the first year our cast has not gone out on tour, so Ryan and I thought we’d let them have some well-deserved time off,” said Falchuk, in a statement. “But everyone wanted to be there, and we couldn’t be happier that Glee is returning to the convention where we feel it all started.”
Fans are likely to ask for answers about next season — specifically, who’s going to stay and who’s going to leave now that the seniors have graduated from McKinley High School.
Glee has attended Comic-Con for the past three years, but a studio spokesman confirmed a week ago that the show would not attend this year.
