Oh, hi fellow fans of cult classic The Room. I’ve got a present for you that is far greater than any bouquet of roses, slinky read dress, or glass of scotchka. See embedded after the jump the trailer for horror comedy The House That Drips Blood on Alex, a 12-minute-long short film set to premiere July 24 at Comic-Con — that also stars Joey Greco. (Yes, that Joey Greco, from Cheaters.) I’ll give you a second to watch it before we discuss.

So, if you’re like me, you watched this trailer in absolutely gleeful disgust, then immediately forwarded it to your friends while asking, Could this possibly be real?! Well, I went straight to the source, — the creators of the short film — and the answer is: Yes. Holy Denny, this is real people! But what is it about? According to Brock LaBorde, the co-owner of Studio8, “It’s hard to explain.” Well, who does Wiseau play? “Alex!” And why is he covered in blood? “Because the house drips it on him!”

Okay, so I’ll have to wait until the horror comedy premieres on Atom TV come Halloween to find out. But LaBorde does reveal that the film was inspired by low-budget horror fare like Tales From the Crypt, and that Wiseau was very enthusiastic about its script. Says LaBorde, “He really acts in this.”

Like us Room fans even need to be sold. Tommy had me at “Arrrgghhh!” Who else is in? Joey Greco, guys!
