There’s no baby on the way Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth — yet!
After reports surfaced on Wednesday suggesting that Cyrus, 26, was pregnant with her first child, the “Wrecking Ball” singer denied she was expecting on Twitter.
“I’m not ‘egg-expecting’ but it’s ‘egg-celent’ to hear everyone is so ‘happy for us’… we’re happy for us too!” Cyrus tweeted — poking fun at the world record egg which surpassed Kylie Jenner‘s first snapshot of daughter Stormi as the most liked Instagram of all time.
“‘Egg-cited’ for this next chapter in our lives… Now, can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg,” Cyrus added.
Cyrus and Hemsworth tied the knot on Dec. 23 during an intimate at home ceremony.
Days later, Cyrus confirmed the surprise nuptials, sharing two sweet photos from their wedding.
In one snap, Cyrus and Hemsworth, 29, are all dressed up in their wedding best — a floor-length white gown for her and black tux for him — as they share a smooch. And in two other photos, the actor has his arms wrapped around Cyrus’ waist as they share a quiet moment together in front of what appears to be an altar adorned with roses and baby’s breath.
Cyrus captioned the photos of her embracing Hemsworth: “12.23.18” and “10 years later …..” On the photo of them kissing, the singer wrote: “This is probably our one – millionth kiss.”
Hemsworth also shared the same photo, writing, “My love.”
A source close to Cyrus previously told PEOPLE the newlyweds aren’t ready to be parents.
“They both love kids, but they’re not in a rush to start a family,” the source explained.
It’s safe to say the lovebirds are instead basking in marital bliss.
On Monday, Cyrus shared a long love letter to her new husband in honor of his 29th birthday.
“L, HBD to my #1 … When we met you were 19, Today, you are 29… I thought I could share some of my favorite things about my favorite dude in honors of this very special day,” Cyrus began.
“The way you look at your family,” the singer continued, “Your friends …. At Strangers …. At Life …. The way you look at the ocean and the way you always take your time . The way you go outside when I ask ‘what’s the weather like?’ instead of checking your phone …”
The letter ended: “I’m proud of the person you have become and look forward to all the good we will contribute ToGeThEr in the future . You and Me baby ….. let’s take this dark place head on and shine thru with the light of L.O.V.E. Thank you for giving me that happiest days of my life. Yours Truly , M.”
