New Stranger Things prequel comic will introduce one of Eleven's fellow test subjects — exclusive
When Stranger Things began, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) was a total mystery. Aside from her telekinesis, one of the first observable facts about her was her numeral designation. If she was “Eleven,” then it followed there must have been 10 before her, right? Stranger Things 2 introduced us to Kali (Linnea Berthelsen), a.k.a. “Eight,” but that leaves others — and what better way to explore those stories than with the Stranger Things kids’ beloved comic books? EW can exclusively announce that Dark Horse’s next Stranger Things comic will be a prequel focused on another of Eleven’s predecessors: Six.
Written by Jody Houser and drawn by Edgar Salazar, Stranger Things: Six will follow Francine. While Eleven is gifted with telekinesis and Kali can create illusions, Francine has the power of precognition. She’s struggled through a lifetime of exploitation, first at the hands of her parents and later by Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) and Hawkins Laboratory. Brenner wants to harness her powers, but Francine’s increasingly disturbing visions show her an opportunity to change her life.
Stranger Things: Six will be a four-issue miniseries, the first installment of which will go on sale May 29. See the covers by Aleksi Bricolt, Kyle Lambert, and David Mack below.
