Listen to Alias Grace star Sarah Gadon perform the audiobook
Hot on the heels of Hulu’s smash Margaret Atwood adaptation The Handmaid’s Tale, Netflix is bringing its own series from the Canadian author to the small screen. Premiering on the streaming service Nov. 3, Alias Grace follows the story of Grace Marks (Sarah Gadon), a domestic servant in 1843 who’s been convicted in the gruesome murders of her employer and his mistress. Problem is, Grace, now serving a life sentence, says she has no memory of the murders.
In tandem with the premiere, Audible is releasing a new recording of Atwood’s 1996 novel, performed by none other than the star of the series, Sarah Gadon. EW can exclusively reveal a clip, below, in advance of the audiobook’s Nov. 2 on-sale date.
Alias Grace is available for pre-order now at Audible.com/aliasgrace.
