Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden both signed book deals with Flatiron Books, the publisher announced Wednesday.
The former VP’s non-fiction book, which is currently untitled, “will explore one momentous year in which he tackles some of the most difficult challenges in the White House while enduring the death of his son Beau,” the publisher says in a release. The book will focus on Joe’s role in his family, as well as in the government.
No further information has been announced about Dr. Jill’s book except that it will also be non-fiction.
“We’re so deeply honored to be the publisher of these books by Vice President and Dr. Biden,” says Bob Miller, president, and publisher of Flatiron Books, a division of Macmillan. “The Vice President’s Book promises to give us all a deeper understanding of recent political history, but it will clearly also be a book about the values that have given the Vice President strength in both good times and bad.”
