There’s no denying Reese Witherspoon has an eye for a good book. In 2011 — before the novel was even published — the Oscar-winning actress got her hands on the manuscript of Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl and was soon developing it into a movie with producer Leslie Dixon through her production company Pacific Standard. The flick was kind of a big deal.

Then, in 2012, Witherspoon announced she would make a movie out of Cheryl Strayed’s memoir Wildalso through her own production company. She both produced and starred in the film to much critical acclaim and received another Best Actress Oscar nomination.

Most recently she has been starring as the brilliantly bold and bitchy Madeline in HBO’s adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s novel Big Little Lies which, by the way, the actress also produced.

Like we said, she knows which books to pluck from the shelf. But beyond taking popular reads and turning them into mega-hit productions, Witherspoon is an avid reader who frequently posts pics on Instagram and Twitter of what she’s flipping through — she crafted her own hashtag: #RWBookClub — and now you can join the club too with this definitive list of Reese’s top reads (beautiful vacation backdrop not included):
