Twitter was abuzz after Donald Trump’s Wednesday morning tweet, in which he said that he has “tremendous respect” for women in honor of International Women’s Day.

Following his statement, female authors and members of the publishing industry tweeted in response, reminding him of not only his earlier comments about sexually assaulting women, but his statements about judging women based on their appearances and the allegations of assault against him. Members of the literary community also shared and promoted books and written pieces by female writers.
