Black Panther is ruling the box office and the red carpet, as proven by Lupita Nyong’o’s stunning gown.

The brilliant black-and-gold dress was a red carpet standout, and Nyong’o gave us another reason to love it via Twitter. Alongside a picture of herself from before the show, she wrote, “Vibranium by Versace. #Oscars #Wakanda Forever”

Nyong’o wasn’t the only Black Panther star channeling the Marvel blockbuster at the Academy Awards. The king himself, Chadwick Boseman, also had a Wakandan look that Twitter loved.

Black Panther got multiple shout-outs during the Academy Awards broadcast, including during host Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue. “[Our] plan is we’re going to shine a light on a group of outstanding and positive films each of which got crushed by Black Panther,” he joked. Wakanda Forever, indeed!

Directed by Ryan Coogler, the 2018 superhero film is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, the king who rules over the Afrofuturist paradise of Wakanda.
