The biggest night in Hollywood has arrived: The 89th annual Academy Awards take place Sunday night live from Los Angeles with Jimmy Kimmel set as host.
But before stars like Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Ryan Gosling, Denzel Washington, Mahershala Ali, Dev Patel, Andrew Garfield, and more go inside Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre for the festivities, the Oscars red carpet will ramp up outside — and PEOPLE and EW are there for all the glitz and glamour.
Our Red Carpet Live pre-show, streaming above, kicks off at 5 p.m. ET, with PEOPLE Deputy Editor JD Heyman and Lola Ogunnaike, host of the PEOPLE/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN) show Entertainment Weekly: The Show, will be on the red carpet in L.A., while PEOPLE Now hosts Jeremy Parsons and Andrea Boehlke will lead the panel discussions from the New York studio with Time Inc. experts. (PEOPLE and EW are owned by Time Inc.)
But wait, there’s more: With PEOPLE’s Oscars Fan Experience, viewers can participate by sending in videos about their favorites to win an Oscar to Burst.com/Oscars. Through the Oscars Fan Experience Sweepstakes, hundreds of VIP subscribers will sit in front-row seats at the Oscars red carpet, followed by an exclusive viewing party right across the street from the ceremony.
And PEOPLE and EW editorial director Jess Cagle will give a behind-the-scenes look at Oscars prep.
PEN will also debut a Red Carpet Fashion Wrap-Up on Monday morning, and videos on demand will be available after the show.
• Watch full episodes of all People/Entertainment Weekly Network programming now! It’s free, and it’s available on streaming devices, including Apple TV, Roku, etc. Just download the PEN app on your Smart TV, mobile and Web devices, or you can check it out at people.com/PEN.
