Westworld: Shannon Woodward's first TV role was on Clarissa Explains It All
Turns out that Clarissa Explains It All wasn’t just a big deal for it’s star Melissa Joan Hart.
As Westworld’s Shannon Woodward shared on Friday, the Nickelodeon show was also her first TV acting gig, with the actress playing the role of Missy, a young girl whose kitten is found by Ferguson in the season 5 episode “Alter Ego.”
Woodward tweeted a video of herself in the episode (during which she was just seven years old). However, she wasn’t the only one making an appearance on the show in that half hour; Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek had a starring role as Paulie, a drummer Clarissa is trying to impress. The episode is notable as it features both Hart and Van Der Beek’s first on-screen kiss.
Woodward currently plays Elsie Hughes, a star programmer whose job it is to fix any weird behavior in park hosts on the hit HBO science fiction series. Westworld has been renewed for a second season.
