Natalie Portman relives her past as an environmental pop singer
James Corden is a master of misdirection. While interviewing Natalie Portman on Wednesday night, the host seemed surprised to learn that the Jackie star had once been a member of World Patrol Kids, a children’s environmental pop group.
After asking Portman several questions about the nature of the group, Corden made his move. “If only we had a clip,” Corden said, taking a slight pause. “Yeah, we do!”
The clip was, in fact, fantastic. The young Portman sang about the environment (“see the meadows filled with corn and grass”) while the older Portman watched with a mix of humor and horror.
