He may help Jake catch an escaped murderer in the cop comedy's two-part fall finale
A few weeks ago, news broke that the fall finale of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will include a guest spot from former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.
Turns out, it will also feature an appearance by someone else who is pretty good on the run.
Craig Robinson — better known as Doug Judy, the elusive car thief who is even better known as the Pontiac Bandit — will make his now-annual return to Fox’s cop comedy, EW has learned exclusively. In the two-part finale, which airs at 8:30 p.m. p.m. ET/PT on Jan. 1, a handful of inmates, including a murderer, escape from a prison van after it crashes. When Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy (Melisssa Fumero) make a bet to see which of them can round up the most prisoners, the Pontiac Bandit appears to be the one person who can assist Jake in his manhunt. Although Jake secretly looks forward to reteaming with the charming criminal who’s a fan favorite, Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) does not think this reunion is such a hot idea.
Judy was last seen cruising away on a speedboat and evading arrest by Jake and Amy in season 3. He also (dis)appeared in seasons 1 and 2.
Robinson, an alum of The Office, had a key role in season 2 of Mr. Robot.
