Over the weekend, Bryan Cranston resurrected his Walter White character on Saturday Night Live to poke fun at Donald Trump’s cabinet picks. Discussing the bit on Today with Matt Lauer Tuesday, Cranston said he hopes to get a shout-out from Trump on Twitter, where the president-elect’s been posting about SNL‘s representation of him. Ultimately, though, Cranston had a message of support for Trump, even though the Republican candidate was not his choice.

“He is going to be my president, and I truly hope he does an exceptionally good job,” Cranston said. “I really do, because if that is true, then he has done well for the country, and that’s much more important than who I personally wanted to be president.”
