Patrick Wilson is ready to make waves. The Conjuring and Insidious star has been cast in the superhero movie Aquaman and will play the titular character’s evil half-brother, Orm, EW has confirmed.

Wilson, a frequent collaborator of Aquaman helmer James Wan, joins an ensemble that includes Jason Momoa as the King of the Seven Seas and Amber Heard as Mera.

In comics lore, Orm is also known by the name Ocean Master and constantly schemes to usurp the Atlantean throne from Aquaman. The siblings share similar powers.

Wilson knows a thing or two about superhero movies: He played the Batman-like character Nite Owl in 2009’s Watchmen and cameoed as the voice of the president in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the film that first glimpsed Momoa’s Aquaman.

Wilson acknowledged his Aquaman role on social media Monday, tweeting a gleeful message to Wan. “Teehee. Here we go,” he wrote.

Warner Bros. will release Aquaman Oct. 5, 2018. Deadline first reported Wilson’s casting.
