TODAY: Savannah Guthrie gives birth to baby boy
'Momma and Dad are doing great,' says Matt Lauer, who visited the family
Breaking news: Savannah Guthrie is a mom again!
The TODAY co-host, 44, and husband of two years Michael Feldman, 48, welcomed their second child together Thursday morning: a son named Charles Max Feldman, according to TODAY.
“We are so grateful. Blessings overflow. Along with tears of joy,” Guthrie tweeted on Friday along with a slew of photos showing the new parents, little “Charley” and even Matt Lauer holding the little one.
The proud mother has already updated her Twitter profile to read, “Grateful mom to Vale and Charley.”
In the video below, Lauer told TODAY that “Momma and Dad are doing great,” noting that he has already paid the “cute little boy” a visit in the hospital. “I was called in to bring wine, so we may have had a little toast,” Lauer said.
Guthrie and Feldman, a public relations and communications consultant, are already parents to 2-year-old daughter Vale.
Guthrie announced her pregnancy on air in June, and at the same time shared that she would be opting out of traveling to cover the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro due to the widespread impact of the mosquito-borne Zika virus. And in September, the anchor spilled (also on Today) that her second child would be a boy.
“We’re beyond blessed to get to have a baby,” she said at the time. “And to get to have a boy and a girl.”
Pregnancy didn’t stop her from fulfilling her news duties. On Nov. 8, a then-eight-months-pregnant Guthrie was live on NBC almost all day to cover the U.S. presidential election.
