Ever think you’d hear the words, ‘F— Lucille Ball, we have Constance Zimmer now,” uttered on your television screen? No? Well, neither did we, but this is Billy on the Street after all.
For this go-round of maniacal New York City people-chasing, Billy Eichner and Aziz Ansari hit the streets for a lightning round where they perform their civic duty and inform passersby that we are living in the golden age of television. As to be expected, not everyone is on board with the duo’s declaration.
“That’s not true, TV’s horrible,” says one ray of sunshine. “I’m late for an appointment,” says another.
Eichner makes up for the lack of enthusiasm, however, by parading around, listing all of the wonderful shows on air, including Ansari’s own Netflix comedy, Master of None.
“There’s garbage flying on my face and I don’t care. I’m happy. It’s peak TV!” Eichner exclaims.
Watch the clip above, and catch Billy on the Street Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. on truTV.
