This Is Us: Alexandra Breckenridge nabs recurring role
This week’s episode of This Is Us introduces an American Horror Story vet into the family: Denis O’Hare will enter the story through William. Another AHS alum will soon follow: Alexandra Breckenridge has joined the NBC dramedy in a recurring role, the network has confirmed.
Breckenridge — who more recently appeared in more than a dozen episodes of The Walking Dead — will play Sophie, Kate’s childhood friend with whom she reconnects. (Chrissy Metz, who plays Kate, is also an AHS alum.) She’ll make her first appearance in a few episodes, but not until the new year. After Tuesday’s Christmas midseason finale, the show will return in early January.
Breckenridge’s other recent TV credits include Pure Genius, Family Guy, and Extant.
The season 1 guest roster of This Is Us also includes Gerald McRaney, Katey Sagal, Brad Garrett, Jon Huertas, Janet Montgomery, Sam Trammell, and Jimmi Simpson.
