Star Wars: Rogue One creatures highlighted in behind-the-scenes video
The background creatures of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story take center stage in a new behind the scenes video.
Among the highlights is the diminutive Rebel fighter played by Star Wars veteran Warwick Davis (best known for originating the Ewok Wicket in Return of the Jedi).
There’s also a look at the man inside the white fur of Moroff, a close-up of big-mouthed beach-stormer Pao, and more details about the “space monkey” Bistan, who delights in wasting Stormtroopers from the turret gun of a Rebel transport ship.
Our tour guide is the galactic menagerie-master himself, Neal Scanlan, head of the Star Wars creature shop, who shows off his new iterations of Mon Calamari creatures and other background-dwelling droids and aliens.
The movie opens on Dec. 16, but the first full screening is set for the premiere next weekend.
