John Goodman is doubling down with Rupert Wyatt. After working with the director on his 2014 remake of The Gambler, Goodman is set to star in Wyatt’s next movie, the sci-fi tale Captive State, EW has confirmed.

Wyatt, the English filmmaker whose credits also include Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Escapist, is directing Captive State from a screenplay he wrote with his wife, Erica Beeney (The Battle of Shaker Heights). Details about the plot and Goodman’s character have yet to emerge.

Goodman is no stranger to sci-fi, and was last seen on the big screen in 10 Cloverfield Lane. His other upcoming movies include Patriots Day, Kong: Skull Island, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and The Coldest City.

Variety first reported his casting.
