Lifetime unveils new photos from the Britney Spears biopic
Fans have been saying “Gimme More” ever since Lifetime announced in August that they’d be making Britney, a biopic based on the life of the Princess of Pop herself, Britney Spears. And while the movie, which will track her ascent into superstardom, won’t hit television screens until next year, Lifetime has released a slew of new photos from the set to hold fans over in the meantime.
Spears, who has not given her blessing to the project, will be portrayed by Natasha Bassett; Nathan Keyes will take the role of Spears’ ex-flame Justin Timberlake, and Clayton Chitty will play ex-husband Kevin Federline. An on-screen version of Timberlake’s boy band ‘NSYNC will also appear.
Below, behold four new photos in all their Glory.
So we THINK this one is supposed to be a recreation of the 2000 album cover for Oops…I Did It Again. Britney’s had quite a few iconic outfits over the years, but this one really seems to echo the tight pants-belly shirt look she sported. It could also be a reference to the 2004 cover of her Greatest Hits: My Prerogative album, where she donned black booty shorts, a black bra, and a brown fur coat, or even the “I’m a Slave 4 U” music video. Moral of the story: Girl really loves her belly shirts.
See, we told you Britney loved belly shirts! The ultimate early ’00s power couple, Britney and Justin Timberlake were truly the beginning of #RelationshipGoals (who could forget their red-carpet Canadian tuxedo?)
It’s Brunette Britney, B—-! And K-Fed, too! This seems prime Britney and Kevin: Chaotic time, as Britney sips her champagne like the glamorous diva she is while K-Fed looks like he could be busting out some dance moves for his new wife.
This one’s definitely from her (not Vegas) wedding in 2004 to Kevin Federline.
Lifetime’s Britney Spears biopic is set to air in February 2017.
