Fillory is the new Narnia in the latest trailer for The Magicians season 2: both worlds are filled with magic, fantastical beasts (including a satyr-like faun), and a group of kids from another realm conquering them as kings and queens.

As fans learned last season, the world of Fillory isn’t bound to the books Quentin (Jason Ralph) loves to read. He’s also not the only one obsessed with it: The Beast was looking for any and all portals in and out. Now in season 2, premiering this January on Syfy, the kids from Brakebills travel to Fillory, with Quentin, Eliot (Hale Appleman), Alice (Olivia Taylor Dudley), and Margo (Summer Bishil) assuming the roles of royalty.

The problem is, ruling isn’t exactly what they hoped it would be: they have all kinds of enemies, an issue with magic “thanks to The Beast,” Fillorians “don’t know what champagne is,” and they have to make some harsh decisions that may end up killing people.

The Magicians season 2 premieres on Syfy on Jan. 25, and as we’ve seen from the behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, there’s a lot more finger-tutting on the way — now with more Game of Thrones references, apparently.
