Stephen Colbert takes over the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line
And the results are as hilarious as you'd expect
If you need advice on how to cook your turkey, probably don’t turn to Stephen Colbert. Late-night talk show hosts are not turkey experts, after all.
But that didn’t stop Colbert from trying. The Late Show host went to Butterball HQ to help man the phones for the Turkey Talk-Line.
First, Colbert got a little training from Carol Miller, who warned him about people asking where to find a turkey suit and urged him to listen to the callers. Then it was off to the races.
“Butterball hotline, let’s butter your balls,” he began the first call.
“I like it well done. How would you suggest I cook it?” the caller asked.
“A long time. Cook it a long time,” Colbert advised. It was all downhill from there.
Later, he quizzed one caller about stuffing vs. dressing and tried to convince another that she’s reached air traffic control. You should probably gobble it up for yourself, below.
