Justin Bieber punched a fan in the face while on tour in Barcelona, Spain on Tuesday night when a fan ran up to his car and stuck his hand in the window, according to a report.

Bieber, 22, responded by quickly jabbing the fan in the face, causing his lip to bleed. A rep for the singer has not yet commented on the incident.

Video of the incident, obtained by TMZ, shows the singer arriving for his concert at Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi stadium with his window rolled down, greeting fans.

The fan can be seen shouting the “Sorry” singer’s name and reaching through the window. The male can be heard saying that he’d touched Bieber’s face right before the singer landed a jab.

Though Bieber has faced criticism while on his Purpose tour — he had multiple on-stage tantrums during his performances in the U.K. and stormed off mid-show in Manchester in late October — sources told PEOPLE in early November the singer was more gracious offstage.

“Justin was giving out flowers to all the girls in the line,” the source said at Tape nightclub in London. “He was with a pack of mates and saw a flower seller and bought a massive big bunch of roses and started handing them out to all the girls that were waiting outside. It was really nice. He was quite chilled — really polite and relaxed.”

The source continued: “He just saw an opportunity to make some people happy and went for it.”
