American Music Awards hosts Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharoah didn’t shy away from taking shots at President-elect Donald Trump and his wife Melania during the opening moments of the show on Sunday night.

After joking Trump’s win earlier this month, coupled with the resurgence of A Tribe Called Quest and Green Day, made it feel like the 1990s all over again, Hadid unveiled her impression of Melania. “I love my husband, President Barack Obama, and our children, Sasha and Malia,” Hadid joked, referencing Melania’s plagiarism of Michelle Obama during the future first lady’s Republican National Convention speech this past summer.

Soon after Hadid’s take on Melania, Pharoah offered up his impression of the president-elect, joking that Donald’s favorite artist is Bruno Mars, because “I don’t know what color he is so I can’t deport him. He looks like Mowgli from The Jungle Book.”

Of Mars’ hit song “Uptown Funk,” Pharoah as Trump joked that he was the inspiration behind the track. “‘Uptown Funk’ used to be called ‘Uptown Trump,'” he said, adding, “I’m going to funk this country up bigly.”
