Deadpool 2 is armed with a new director.

David Leitch, a co-director on the Keanu Reeves revenge action film John Wick, will direct Fox’s superhero sequel starring Ryan Reynolds, a studio spokesperson confirmed to EW on Friday.

Deadpool director Tim Miller departed the X-Men-adjacent movie last month, reportedly due to “creative differences” between himself and Reynolds, who serves as a producer in addition to starring as the foul-mouthed anti-hero. The first Deadpool hit theaters in February and went on to gross more than $780 million worldwide. Miller is now guiding development on a Sonic the Hedgehog cinematic adaptation.

With John Wick, Leitch and colleague Chad Stahelski crafted an acclaimed thriller that pulled in $86 million worldwide. Leitch’s next film is The Coldest City, a Cold War thriller with Charlize Theron and James McAvoy that’s slated for an Aug. 11, 2017 release.
