Her television presence has come a long way since 'TRL'
Believe it or not, reality television is just now tapping into the gold mine that is the life of the legendary Mariah Carey.
Mariah’s World, set to premiere Dec. 4 on E!, is an 8-part docuseries chronicling the glamorous life of the songstress, and man, are we, the common viewing public, in for a treat from the Queen of R&B.
“It’s an insight into a world people might not see,” Carey coos in a new trailer released Thursday, as footage flashes of her both on stage performing, and at home with her adorable twins Monroe and Moroccan, where they partake in average family outings, such as an African safari.
Carey also plays Bridezilla as she tries on a wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to James Packer, though since filming commenced, the two have split.
If Carey’s nursing a broken heart, she doesn’t show it. The trailer teases her in the company of a gaggle of shirtless male models, indulging in a pot brownie, tossing diamonds against a wall, and sitting in the lap of a man who may or may not have a crush on her (the verdict is yet to be determined).
The clip even takes a surprising turn when a crewmember spits a memorable line, and strings together a sentence that has most likely never been uttered by humans before: “The most low-maintenance person on the whole f— tour is Mariah.”
Watch the clip below for a taste of the excitement, and tune in Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. on E! for more of Mariah’s World.
