You are still months away from seeing Jimmy McGill look into the mirror and declare, “It’s showtime, folks!” But right now it’s time to catch a tiny glimpse of the third season of Better Call Saul.

As you can see in these first-look photos of the Breaking Bad prequel centering on crafty lawyer Jimmy McGill — who would go on to become Walter White consigliere Saul Goodman and ultimately Cinnabon manager Gene — Bob Odenkirk will once again go back to the future as Gene, complete with mustache, aviator glasses, and a sensible lunch. Overseeing the action in this mall-set scene are co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould.

In the third photo, yes, that’s Jimmy in the same room with Chuck (Michael McKean). The two brothers had an ugly battle of wits in season 2, which culminated in the season finale with Chuck betraying Jimmy by secretly recording him confessing to breaking the law. Make your best guess as to Jimmy is holding a copy of The Adventures of Mabel, Harry Thurston Peck’s late-19th century children’s fantasy novel about a little girl who gains the ability to speak with animals. And let us all hope that Chuck — who claims to suffer from electromagnetic hypersensitivity — is in the process of taking down, not putting up more tin foil.

Better Call Saul returns this spring to AMC.

Have you forgotten where the show left off? Odenkirk talked to EW about the season 2 finale, while Gilligan and Gould broke down the finale and what lies ahead.
