Saint Motel groove to vintage broadcast news glory in their new music video for “Move,” which EW is excited to premiere below.

In the clip, which also features musician/ comic Reggie Watts, the band plays a variety of television characters on a failing news broadcast. But soon disaster strikes and the ratings grow exponentially as viewers tune in to watch the madness unfold.

“Carlos [Lopez Estrada, one of the video’s directors] and I had been discussing music video ideas for ‘Move’ months before the song was even finished,” Saint Motel’s frontman A/J Jackson told EW. “They centered in on ‘the world within television,’ and the fast paced nature of broadcast news seemed like a good fit.”

The music video for “Move” became a project amongst friends. Bandmates Jackson and Aaron Sharp already knew their three music video directors — Zach Wechter, Nick Roney, and Lopez Estrada — from film school. Then the band got their other friend Watts to make a cameo during the video’s end scene, which Jackson described as “the sexy gravy on top.”

Saint Motel recently wrapped a headlining tour but will hit the road again supporting Panic! At The Disco’s North American run in February. See a full list of dates on their website.
