Ricky Martin is on a roll — both on the personal and professional fronts. On Wednesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the singer reveals he’s set to marry boyfriend boyfriend Jwan Yosef and launch a concert residency in Las Vegas.

Jokingly desperate to get all the juicy engagement details, DeGeneres asks the singer, “Where does he live and how long have you known him and how did you meet?”

It turns out, Martin was first attracted to Yosef’s art. “I went crazy because I really love what he does,” explains Martin, who reached out to the painter and plastic arts creator. “And then you collected him,” said DeGeneres.

Now Martin and Yosef are engaged to get married. “I was really nervous,” Martin says of messing up his plan for a traditional proposal. “But I got on my knees and I took out the little metal box. I just had it in a little velvet pouch, and instead of saying, ‘Will you marry me?’ I said, ‘I got you something!'”

He then got around to telling Yosef he wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, to which Yosef replied, “What is the question?” Then Martin finally asked, “Will you marry me?”

After the initial shock wore off, Martin had to double check Yosef’s answer, he shares: “And then 30 minutes after, I said, ‘Did you say yes?’… He said, ‘Yes.'”

The pop star has even more exciting news: Martin tells DeGeneres he’s “really happy” to announce he will have a concert residency in Las Vegas. DeGeneres then made her audience’s day, telling them, “You’re going to get a pair of tickets and a two-night stay at the Monte Carlo!”
