Full Frontal With Samantha Bee renewed by TBS
TBS has given Samantha Bee a renewal and a new time slot.
The network announced on Wednesday that it has ordered a second season of Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, which will debut in 2017. The weekly late-night series, which airs on Mondays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, will move to Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. in the new year, beginning Jan. 17.
The Emmy-nominated, critically acclaimed, take-no-prisoners series, which is hosted by Bee, a former Daily Show correspondent, premiered in February, and has averaged 3.3 million viewers across various platforms, according to TBS. Bee has covered the election with a fiery POV, and has not been shy in criticizing now-President-elect Donald Trump. Her show has tackled such issues as Syrian refugees coming to the U.S., untested rape kits, and the lack of resources for women at VA hospitals. She interviewed President Obama on Full Frontal last month.
“I am only sorry that this renewal leaves me unavailable for a cabinet position in the new administration,” said Bee in a statement. “I will, however, be available to host the White House Correspondents Dinner, seeing as I already bought the dress.”
