Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 9 filming begins

You may be excited for the return of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but it’s not half as much as J.B. Smoove. And it’s probably five times as much as Larry David.

In a video released by HBO on Friday announcing that production on the ninth season of David’s misanthropic comedy has begun, Smoove declares that his character, Leon Black, has returned, and then he tries to get David to come out of his trailer. As you can see, there’s a lot of door pounding, and not a lot of David.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, which last aired in 2011, will bring back series regulars Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, and Susie Essman, in addition to David. Recurring guests Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen are also set to appear.
