Kristen Wiig set to host 'Saturday Night Live'
Nothing to be “sorry” about here… Gilly’s back!
NBC announced Wednesday that Kristen Wiig will return to the late-night sketch comedy series to host on Nov. 19.
She will be joined by musical guest the xx, an indie rock band that recently announced its upcoming third album.
Wiig was a cast member on SNL for seven seasons, where she was known for her hilarious impressions of stars like Kathie Lee Gifford and Suze Orman, and her quirky original characters, like Penelope, the ultimate one-upper, and Target Lady, an overly enthusiastic Target employee.
Since her departure in 2012, she’s returned to the show several times, and hosted in 2013. She’s also managed to forge a successful movie career, starring in 2011’s breakout hit Bridesmaids, and this summer’s reboot of Ghostbusters.
Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET.
