Election Day: Jennifer Lawrence, Darren Aronofsky bribe students to vote via FaceTime
Aronofsky, a Hillary Clinton supporter, was spotted in the battleground state of North Carolina at Duke University on Election Day, urging students on campus to vote. And while the “I Voted” sticker is a cool souvenir for many, a lucky few at Duke had the opportunity to FaceTime with Lawrence, 26.
“When Jennifer Lawrence’s boyfriend is on campus bribing students to go vote in exchange for a FaceTime with her,” one student tweeted.
“I just casually FaceTimed with Jennifer Lawrence. Darren Aronofsky is the man,” another Blue Devil wrote, also sharing a photo of the Black Swan director, 47, holding up his phone with what appeared to be his girlfriend on the call.
Aronofsky also offered rides to the polls tweeting, “History will be made in #northcarolina. join me tomorrow at DUKE university chapel 1130-5pm to get a ride to the polls #dukevotes #imwithher.”
In October, a source close to the Oscar-winning actress confirmed the romance to PEOPLE, saying that Lawrence and Aronofsky have “been hanging out and are casually dating.”
Last week, the couple were spotted holding hands and locking lips during a romantic night out in New York City on Wednesday.
Aronofsky and Lawrence may have voted for the same presidential candidate. In November 2015, the Hunger Games star told Vogue that she did not agree with Donald Trump when it came to an important issue. “I was raised a Republican, but I just can’t imagine supporting a party that doesn’t support women’s basic rights,” Lawrence said.
