SNL: Aidy Bryant plays dead through a Benedict Cumberbatch lap dance
A good way to see if someone’s really dead: Bring in Benedict Cumberbatch to give her a lap dance and see if she perks up.
Aidy Bryant plays an 83-year-old bride-to-be in a Weekend at Bernie‘s-inspired SNL sketch where she’s surprised with a bachelorette party — and she’s so surprised that once she finds out what’s going on, she clutches her chest and passes out. No one seems to notice, though, because they continue to bring in a couple of strippers anyway.
Cumberbatch and SNL‘s Mikey Day go on to give Bryant, who’s probably very dead at this point, a lap dance complete with whipped cream and plenty of gyrating. Then, the kicker: Three Chicago Cubs (Anthony Rizzo, David Ross, Dexter Fowler) join in on the fun.
Rizzo, Ross, and Fowler also appeared on Weekend Update to sing “Go Cubs Go” with the help of Bill Murray. See that clip here, and watch the bachelorette party sketch above.
The original late-night comedy sketch show from the one and only Lorne Michaels.
