Ben Affleck’s brush with royalty was a little too close for comfort.

During this week’s episode of The Graham Norton Show, Affleck shared an account of a recent run-in with the royal children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. “I have some experience with the royals,” joked Affleck. “We’re very close.”

During an overseas visit to Europe for his latest film The Accountant, the Batman v Superman actor took his children to see the various famous sights. “We went to Windsor Castle. We saw the Tower of London,” he said. “We saw everywhere the royals go, and live and have, you know, cut each other’s head off over history.”

On one eventful day, Affleck took his youngest son to an indoor play park. “I noticed it had this sort of weird vibe from some of the other grown-ups that were there,” he said. “They were all really well-dressed, had suits on, and then I saw that some of them had [ear] pieces in and I thought, ‘Wow, Kidnasium is tight with the security!’” It was then the actor-director realized the special guests were none other than Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

“Now I can tell him, you got a cold from the King of England,” he joked. “Go talk to them! Impress them! Be nice to them! You know what to say!”
