Thomas Jane and Molly Parker have entered the macabre world of Stephen King.

The Hung actor and House of Cards actress are starring in Netflix’s feature-film adaptation of King’s novella 1922, EW has confirmed.

Published in 2010 as part of the collection Full Dark, No Stars, the novella centers on a farmer named Wilfred James (Jane), who confesses to murdering his wife, Arlette (Parker), and comes to believe her vengeful spirit is haunting him.

Zak Hilditch (These Final Hours) is directing from his own screenplay, and the cast also includes Kaitlyn Bernard, Brian d’Arcy James, Neal McDonough, and Dylan Schmid. Production is underway in Vancouver.

1922 comes as the second Netflix movie project based on King’s work; the streaming service is also adapting the suspense novel Gerald’s Game, with Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood starring. Jane is no stranger to King’s tales either, having starred in the 2007 film The Mist.

Elsewhere in Hollywood, Warner Bros. is working on a movie based on King’s It, and Sony and MRC are working on a Dark Tower movie and companion TV series.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news about 1922.
