Oscar winner J.K. Simmons and Golden Globe winner Martin Sheen are setting sail for Surprise Island.

The veteran actors have joined the voice cast for The Boxcar Children: Surprise Island, Legacy Classics and Shout! Factory’s in-production adaptation of Gertrude Chandler Warner’s popular children’s book series, which next year is celebrating its 75th anniversary.

The Boxcar Children follows the adventures of four orphaned children living in an abandoned boxcar in the woods, before moving in with their grandfather. Warner’s saga has spanned over 150 books, with various writers continuing the series upon her death in 1979.

Both actors are reprising their roles from a previous adaptation of the series, 2014’s The Boxcar Children. Sheen voices James Alden, the children’s grandfather, and Simmons is Dr. Moore. Rounding out the cast are Joey King, Griffin Gluck, Carter Sand, Gil Birmingham, Stephen Stanton, and Talitha Bateman.

Dan Chuba and Mark Dippé are directing Surprise Island, the first of three new Boxcar Children films.
