As if toplining one of the most anticipated Marvel movies of the year wasn’t daunting enough, Benedict Cumberbatch’s nerves are finally getting the best of him as he prepares to tackle another monumental gig this weekend: hosting NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

In a new 19-second promo video for the Oscar-nominated actor’s upcoming first gig on the long-running variety sketch show, the 40 year old channels the character at the center of his new flick, Doctor Strange, to deliver a hilariously abrupt glimpse into the headspace he’s inhabiting in the days leading up to the Nov. 5 episode.

“We meet at last,” Cumberbatch says — a dramatic orchestral score blaring — as he ascends to the Studio 8H stage at Rockefeller Center. He then turns to the camera and, without missing a beat, delivers a jittery, “Oh, f—.”

Watch Cumberbatch go toe-to-toe with his stage fright in the video below. Doctor Strange, which also stars Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, and Mads Mikkelsen, hits theaters nationwide this Friday, while the Sherlock star’s freshman outing on SNL premieres Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
