Louis C.K. is enthusiastic about the prospect of having a mother in the Oval Office.

In a clip from Tuesday’s evening’s episode of Conan, the comedian tells Conan O’Brien he intends to vote for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and in fact “would take her over anybody.”

A big part of his reasoning is that Clinton is a mom. “It’s not about the first woman [president], it’s about the first mom,” C.K. explains. “Because a mother, she’s got it. A mother just does it. She feeds you and teaches you, she protects you, she takes care of you.”

That’s not to say C.K. has anything against dads — he is one, after all. But as he points out, “We’ve had 240 years of fathers. Father after father. Bald father, fat father, every kind of father.”

C.K. also says he has “no problem with anybody who votes for [Donald] Trump if that’s your ideology,” although he feels the GOP nominee doesn’t take criticism well.

Summing up his election feelings, he says, “I think if you vote for Hillary, you’re grown up. If you vote for Trump, you’re a sucker. If you don’t for anybody you’re an a‑‑hole.”
