Ezra Miller is all of us, if “all of us” means “diehard fan of Harry Potter.” Which, yes, we are.

Miller isn’t just one of the stars of Warner Bros. wildly anticipated new film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them — he’s also the film’s resident Potter geek, and that’s no self-assigned superlative.

During EW’s inaugural PopFest this past weekend, the film’s headlining duo Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston were asked which Fantastic cast member was the go-to for all things J.K. Rowling, who penned the screenplay for the film. Unsurprisingly, their answer was 24-year-old Miller, and EW has a clip to prove his devotion to the wizarding world.

Initially, we showed this clip just to festivalgoers at PopFest, but we’re thrilled to debut it online for fantastic beast-finders at home and abroad.

In it, Miller (who plays the film’s mysterious, misunderstood Credence) goes full Potterphile as he breaks down a 60-second magical history lesson that’ll catch you up on the Potter series and set the stage for Fantastic Beasts, which takes place in the 1920s — a curious choice of timeline considering the events that happened in wizard history during that time period.

Allow Miller’s history and hypotheticals to send your minds spinning through conspiracy theories and “what ifs” that may happen in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which hits theaters in 3D and IMAX on Nov. 18.
