ABC has finally announced The Bachelor season premiere date. The long-running reality dating competition series will return for its 21st season on Jan. 2.

As was previously announced, this season’s bachelor is Nick Viall, who recently went looking for love on the latest season of Bachelor in Paradise. The 36-year-old technology salesman from Wisconsin was also a contestant on two seasons of The Bachelorette. It sounds as though he’s confident he’ll finally find the one this season.

“After all these years, and all the heartbreak, it’s finally Nick’s turn to hand out the roses. Will he finally find that love he’s craved? He believes in finding love on the series and hopes it is his time now,” reads the press release annoucing the premiere date.

Last season’s bachelor Ben Higgins ended up choosing Lauren Bushnell, and the two of them currently star in their own reality series Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? on Freeform.

Chris Harrison hosts the veteran reality romance series. Will you accept this rose?
